I’ve said this many times before, and I will say this again. When faced with a setback, one could either give up or use that setback to propel him to greater success. Examples of people who have done the latter include Kanye West, Cristiano Ronaldo and Thomas Edison.

Do not be discouraged when you fail. We are all human and we make mistakes. I remember some years back when I faced some challenges in my life that I was so depressed over a few bad decisions which I had made. I decided to move on in life.

Failure is not the end. It is a stepping stone that brings one closer to success.

Being a go-getter can really benefit you. I’ve seen people who jump into opportunities which others do not see and they end up benefiting the most, all because there were go-getters.

Now, think about this. Do you want to jump into those opportunities or do you want others to snap them up before you do? How much do you want that success?

If you’re hungry for success, you will do anything within your ability to get it.

As I look at the success that 50 Cent has achieved over the years, I sometimes wonder what would have happened if 50 Cent had given up after suffering that huge setback which he is famous for.

For those who aren’t familiar, 50 Cent is a successful rapper today, but back in 2000, in the early days of his career, he was shot 9 times, and many didn’t know if he would be able to rap again.

The shooting did not kill 50 Cent, but he had to go through a long a tough recovery period. 50 Cent was confused about his future. However, he did not let the shooting incident discourage him. He persevered through the tough recovery period and slowly, he became a successful artist. What did not kill him made him stronger.

Like 50 Cent, we all go through hardships in life. We can choose to wallow in self-pity, or we can choose to rise up and strengthen ourselves. I encourage you to persevere, because you have nothing to lose, and your perseverance might bring you great success that you can’t see yourself having right now.

I am thankful for critics, haters and flamers. Without them, I wouldn’t be where I am today. Why do I say that?

The fact that people hate means that you have acquired a certain level of success, fame or reputation. Some people who are insecure will not hesitate to bad-mouth you, but you need not be discouraged. That, my friend, is a sign that you are moving in the right direction.

This stuff happens. The more success you have, the more you get flamed. In life, you haven’t really achieved any success until you get flamed… because people see that you have success.

2) Have a weekly schedule and targets which you want to meet
As the saying goes, “if you fail to plan, you plan to fail”. Be sure to write down all the tasks that you want to accomplish in a certain time frame. If you simply rely on memory, you may forget or miss out certain tasks. Also, have a goal in mind, so that you know what you are working toward.

3) Break down your bigger tasks into smaller tasks
A task may at first look phenomenal or impossible to achieve, but if you break that task down into smaller bits and pieces, your ultimate goal would look easier to achieve. It certainly would provide a morale booster if you were able to accomplish one small task at a time rather than to have a huge task which may take forever to complete. Remember, “slow and steady wins the race”.

Examine yourself and change your mindset or attitude if you do not possess the abovementioned factors. Once that is done, you will be one step closer to becoming a successful affiliate marketer.
